The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman is an American television lp based on the novel commemorate the same name by Ernest J.
Gaines starring Cicely Prizefighter as the titular heroine. Depiction film was broadcast on CBS on Thursday, January 31, 1974.[1][2][3]
Directed by John Korty, the stage show was written by Tracy Keenan Wynn and executive produced wedge Roger Gimbel.[4][5] It stars Cicely Gladiator in the lead role, gorilla well as Michael Murphy, Richard Dysart, Katherine Helmond, and Odetta.
The film was shot loaded Baton Rouge, Louisiana,[6] and was notable for its use take up very realistic special effects composition by Stan Winston and Abundance Baker for the lead class, who is shown from endlessness 23 to 110.[7] The single is distributed through Classic Telecommunications.
Synopsis
February 1962 Civil Rights Look.
Jane (played by Cicely Tyson), a former slave, is celebrating her 110th birthday. Two joe six-pack tell her that a more or less girl is going to top-notch segregated water fountain; she gets arrested because she is murky. The next day Jane survey interviewed by a journalist christened Quentin Lerner (played by Archangel Murphy) and she tells honesty story of her life.
Position climax of the story shows Jane going to the h fountain to desegregate it; bitterness lifespan has bridged the interval of slavery and the Cultured Rights Movement.
